Robyn Benincasa: World Champion
Robyn
Benincasa
is World Class Team’s
“Director of Fun”,
a San Diego City
Firefighter, and a
World Champion
in the emerging
extreme sport of
Adventure Racing.
For
the past 13 years she has
raced with her team
across some of the most
remote and inhospitable regions of the
world in search of adventure, personal limits
(none found yet!), and most importantly, the
“magic” experiences that come from true
team synergy. It is from her amazing journeys
during these 7-10 day non-stop
multi-sport endurance events like the Eco-
Challenge that Robyn has developed her
signature program, “Extreme Teams: The 8
Essential Elements of Human Synergy”.
“What compels me the most about this
sport”, Benincasa says, “is that the biggest,
strongest, and fastest competitors are not
guaranteed a successful finish. It’s the teams
that truly understand
interdependence, have
empathy for one another,
share common ideals,
manage adversity well,
and check their egos at
the start line that win
these races. In my experience, the same is
true in the corporate world”.
Robyn has worked with some of the top Fortune 500 Companies.
Benincasa has the ability to impart the
skills, attitude and mind set required to turn
a good team into an exceptional one, and her programs have been embraced by companies
such as Starbucks, Honda/Acura,
Boeing, Hewlett Packard, Lockheed Martin,
Walmart, Cisco Systems, AT&T, Fast Company Magazine, and the Anthony
Robbins Group, just to name a few.
The media loves Robyn's positive message.
Her
positive personality and obvious love for
inspiring both her teammates and her corporate
clients has also made Robyn a favorite
among the media. In the past 3
years, she has been featured in the
pages of Sports Illustrated, The
New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar,
Vogue, Outside, Corporate and
Incentive Travel, and Fast
Company Magazine.
She has also appeared on
“Regis Live!”, NBC’s To Tell
the Truth, “Dateline NBC”,
“CBS 48 Hours” and “Good
Morning America”.
